"Gypsy"
|
Jun 4, 2010 - Jun 27, 2010
Finley Theater
(903) 892-8818
Hailed by numerous Broadway critics as the greatest American musical, it's based on the 1957 memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, but the play focuses on her mother, Rose, whose name has become synonymous with "the unltimate show-business mother" as she follows her dreams to push her two daughters into vaudeville. Songs include "Everything's Coming Up Roses", "You Gotta Have A Gimmick", "Let Me Entertain You" and many more.
"Gypsy" plays June 4-27 in the Finley Theatre at 500 N. Elm in Sherman. Performances are held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.
Tickets are priced from $9 to $16, and reservations may be made by calling the box office at 903-892-8818 or by coming to the box office in the Honey McGee Playhouse, located directly behind the Finley Theatre. Group rates are available by calling Darlene Schweizer at 903-893-7652.
