2015 Christmas Bird Count

Enthusiasts with any level of birding experience can join a count team on Dec. 19 at HNWR. Join a team for one half day or all day. We will need lots of “eyes” as the Hagerman count circle is 15 miles in diameter. Light supper will be served from 4 – 6 pm that evening as the count is tallied. Please call the Refuge, 903 786 2826 to sign up. There is also opportunity for home feeder watchers in these communities, Pottsboro, Sherwood Shores, Cedar Mills, Mill Creek, Locust, Fink, Tanglewood, Georgetown, Preston and Gordonville. Those who call in to register will receive event details. There will also be an owl count at 4 am.
