Mini-Bird Fest! Speakers, activity stations, goose tours, all free and family oriented. No reservations needed. Put some WILD in your life!
10 -11:30 AM – Learning Stations: Feather Facts; Bird Beaks; Get Ready for Bluebirds
10:30 AM – Talk – Backyard Birds
11 AM – 1 PM – Blackland Prairie Raptors – display of live raptors, sponsored by the Denison Area Chamber of Commerce
11:30 AM – 1 PM – Bring a picnic or enjoy BBQ pork sandwich lunch for a small donation.
1:30 – 3 PM – Learning Stations – Geese Migration; Project Feeder Watch
1:30 PM – Talk – Christmas Bird Count 101
2:30 PM – Talk – Beginning Bird Photography
Goose Tour – one-hour van tours of Wildlife Drive, with guide aboard, will depart at 10 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm. Weather permitting, tram tours will depart at 9:30 am, 11 am, and 2 pm. Sign up at Info Desk day of the event, first come first served.
